Detoxing Clay Fertility Mask

By Nattassia Wynter, Fertility Coach

On March 16, 2020
When I was on my fertility journey, travelling through L.A. two years ago, I came across this amazing rose clay powder in a healthfood store that I have been trying to get a hold of ever since. I held on to a little sample I had for almost one year until there was just no more.

Im sure its still out there, but never managed to find that clay again.

However I did find something much better… I found pure natural clay at the base of a waterfall that I can access whenever I want.

Whats better is that I have been using this clay as a mask ever since and can now cover my entire body in clay from head to toe.

What are the uses of clay for fertility

Clay helps to extract toxins and impurities out of your body via your skin. By including natural skincare ingredients in your regular beauty routine you can lighten the load on your liver.

You liver is responsible for eliminating toxins and excess hormones from your body, but when your liver is burdened by an increased amounts of toxins introduced to you body from your diet, pollution and your skin care regimne, things can get ugly (no pun

Estrogen is one of the hormones eliminated by you liver. Excess estrogen contributes to abnormal uterine growths like fibroids, endometriosis and polyps.

Why use clay masks instead when trying to conceive

Every cell in your body produces toxins. What we put on our skin can sometimes make its way to organs in our body including our womb.

When toxins, chemicals, fragrances, dyes and other harmful byproducts from our skin care routine make it to our reproductive system, the results can be lowered chances of conception, menstrual issues, or abnormal growths like fibroid, pcos, endometriosis, etc.

If we are not careful with what we put on our skin, we may not notice the effects until its too late. And we may not be able to trace the direct link between our regular beauty routine to fertility problems or menstrual issues.

But what we do know is that what you put on your body is absorbed in to the layers of your skin and if these substances penetrate deep enough they can enter your bloodstream. From there, these substances can act as hormones, binding to receptor sites on your reproductive organ and triggering reactions you have no control over.

Technically, these items would no longer be considered a cosmetic and would fall in to the realm of a pharmaceutical. Think hormone replacement therapy, except you dont need or want it.

The main difference between a cosmetic and a pharmaceutical is how deep the substance applied to your skin penetrates and if it is absorbed into your blood stream.

But with more and more synthetic items and innovations entering the market everyday, it can be hard for you to really know whats entering your bloodstream and whats not…

And harder to tell what effect its going to have on your fertility 5 years down the road or by your next cycle.

How can Clay mask help your Fertility

So one thing I am big on is using safer natural materials and foods on your skin that can get you the same or better results.

As a bonus, many natural skin care substances can have positive effects in other areas of your body, possibly undoing the negative effects of other less desirable products or stopping them in the first place.

Natural clay is just one example of a natural ingredient I like to use on my skin instead of those mystery cleansers and mixtures with even more mysterious names.

Some of the benefits of clay include

  • Removes dirt
  • Removes excess oil from skin
  • Used for wound healing in ancient times
  • Removes impurities
  • may reduce acne (may be beneficial if you have pcos)
  • Reduce appearance of large pores
  • may reduce signs of aging

Clay’s benefits can be attribute to its electronic charge, where it is said to literally pull toxins from the skin by magnetically attracting the away from skin.

While clay can be drying to the skin, periodic use can easily replace some of your harsher cosmetics, makeup removers and cleansers.

With benefits like these, why use potentially fertility damaging skin care products.

By adding natural skin care ingredients like clay to your regular beauty routine, you may see a significant improvement in your fertility over time.
