Beyoncé just had twins, giving birth to a boy and a girl. Women tend to have more fertility issues the longer they wait to have children and giving birth later in life is becoming somewhat of a trend among millennials. So At 35 years old, it’s no surprise that Beyoncé’s twins are still in the hospital with minor issues.
Millennial Twins Factor
More and more women are giving birth to twins than at any other time in American history. A lot of this has to do with the feminist movement and other factors causing women to put off their fertility til their 30’s.
Another reason we may be seeing more women having twins is because as women age, they experience hormonal shifts that favor twins to singles.
Lets not forget the role that fertility science plays in upping those numbers. According to a 2014 Center for Disease and Prevention Report, there were 23.9 twins for every 1,000 births raising the occurrence of twins born in America to record-breaking highs in 2014. You can bet that number has jumped since then!
Beyoncé’s Age Factor
If you’re like me, you’re wondering whether Beyoncé had IVF to boost her fertility? What do you think? The reason this may be the case is because of her age. Since Beyonce is 35 years old, her fertility health is likely not what it was in her most fertile days.
Even though women 37 years and older are 4 times more likely to give birth to non-fraternal twins, considering she put off pregnancy for her career, it’s not unlikely she made up for lost time by opting for invetro fertilization treatment.
Twin’s Health Factor
The fact that Beyoncé twins are in the hospital is not unusual. However, this reminds us of another reason why you may want to conceive your children earlier in life–when you are most fertile.
There is a strong possibility that at Beyonce’s age, her egg health played a role in the health of her baby twins. Combine that with the fact that she may have also had IVF, which is not perfect. Even if they used the healthiest eggs she had, its still not common to have issues with birthing twins.
Boost Your Fertility To Have Twins Naturally
The fact that even Beyoncé’s twins have health complications should be a wake up call to all Black women. You can greatly increase the survival and health of having twins by boosting your fertility naturally and having babies when you are younger and more fertile. The longer you wait, the greater the risk having experiencing fertility issues such as infertility and the health of the twins.
